Effective June 12, 2026

BeKind is built on a simple principle: we collect the minimum needed to run the app, we sell nothing, and you can erase everything at any time. This page describes exactly what that means.

What we collect

When you create an account, we store:

As you use the app, we store:

What we explicitly do not do

Where your data lives

Your practice is stored on your device first, which is why BeKind works offline. For account sync, data is stored with Supabase, our hosting and authentication provider, protected by row-level security so each account can only ever read its own data — and, for the Circle feature, the daily deed of friends who have explicitly accepted the connection.

Who can see what

Friends in your circle — people you invited or accepted — can see your first name, today's deed, and whether you marked it done. They never see your history, your stats, your email, or anything else. Removing a friend immediately ends this visibility in both directions.

Notifications

Your daily reminder is scheduled locally on your device. We do not send remote push notifications and no server decides when to contact you.

Deleting your data

Open the Self tab and choose Delete account. This permanently and immediately removes your account, profile, deed history, circle connections, and any pending invitations from our servers. There is no retention period and no "deactivated" state. You can also simply sign out, which clears the app's local data on that device.

Children

BeKind requires users to be at least 13 years old.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we will note it here with a new effective date. We won't quietly expand what we collect.
